Refund / Cancellation Policy
Individual, couple, or family therapy payment is made at the end of each session unless prior arrangements have been agreed to by the therapist. Payment arrangements may include the use of insurance, in which case co-pays and deductibles are due at the end of each session, or a monthly payment plan is agreed to. There is no refund for Individual, couple, or family therapy.
Group therapy services are due and payable at the end of the first session unless prior arrangements are agreed to by the group therapist. Refund for group therapy services must be requested by third session and the refund will be prorated based on the number of unattended remaining sessions. No refunds will be made after the third session regardless of attendance.
Appointments cancelled less than 24-hours in advance will be charged at the agreed upon rate.
A limited number of sliding scale fee clients are accepted. The sliding scale fee is based upon income and generally, registered interns provide services to sliding scale clients.
Information disclosed by clients is generally confidential and will not be released to any third party without written authorization from the client, except where required or permitted by law. Exceptions to confidentiality, include, but are not limited to, reporting child, elder and dependent adult abuse, when a client makes a serious threat of violence towards a reasonably identifiable victim, or when a client is dangerous to him/herself or the person or property of another.
