1st Group

New group is now forming for the Spouse and Partner Loss Group led by Suzanne Shayne LMFT.

Every loss has its enormous challenges in life. The loss of a mate takes it’s particular toll…the root of the tree which you and your mate have been wrapped around together is now weakened to the core. While there is profound grief and sadness, there is also the challenge of how regain your footing and create new meaning in your life. Come gather with others who “get it” to find hope and support.

Suzanne Shayne LMFT has been a licensed Therapist in the State of California since 1991.  She facilitated grief groups for 12 years after resurrecting her own life when her husband died. Suzanne strongly believes in the community energy of the group to provide support and guidance out from the darkness into the light.

The group will meet every other week on Mondays from 6-7:30pm. The cost is $40 for a intake meeting; $30 per meeting (paid monthly).

Please contact us for more information and to speak with the group facilitator, Suzanne Shayne LMFT.

2nd Group

Next Grief support group starts on February 5, 2018.

The pain of losing a loved one feels like being swept away by a tsunami. Grief is overwhelming, often paralyzing, and most people don’t know who to turn to. We are that safe harbor. We can show you how to regain your footing and free yourself from the anguish of grief.

Our 8 week grief groups are about more than talking. This program helps grievers by creating a better understanding of their grieving experience, and provides exercises to address the mental feedback loop of the “if only’s” and the heartache of what grievers didn’t get to experience or communicate with their loved one. Participants take away valuable skills they can use for the rest of their lives in all their relationships.

Please call to set up an intake appt to attend the group. The fee for the intake session is $40. Fee for the 8 week group is $250.

The 90 minute groups meet weekly from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm. Group leaders are all mental health professionals with specialized training in grief.

To register for the intake appt or for more information offline call: 818-222-3895

3rd Group

Los Angeles Consortium of Grief Professionals Monthly Workshop Meetings:

Working with grievers is incredibly rewarding and inspiring, however it can be isolating and draining for the care provider. Would you like to meet others from different professional viewpoints who work with grievers?

Come join us for a monthly informative and supportive meeting.

We pick a different topic related to grief each month, give you a list of resources (i.e. websites, local groups, books) related to that topic, give you 1 CEU (for MFT/LCSW/LPC’s) and even feed you a little breakfast along the way!

About the Co-Leaders
